Getting started

• Sign up with your full name, birthdate, grade/year and country. You must be at least 12 years old.
• If you're under 16, sign up with your parent or guardian's name, email and phone number. Your profile stays completely private until they approve it through the link we email them.
• Once approved, complete your profile: a headline, your school, achievements, skills and videos.
• Search for other students by name, school or country and send connection requests. Connections are mutual — both students have to agree.

Building your profile

Your profile is your story. Use the pencil icon to edit your intro, photo, banner and social handles. Use the + button on each section to add education, academic achievements, honours and awards, extracurricular activities, volunteering, work experience, skills and videos. Use the pencil on any entry to edit it, and the bin to remove it. Entries are shown most recent first, automatically.

Photos, banners and videos

Tap the camera icon on your profile photo or banner to upload one. You can drag and zoom the preview inside the frame before saving, so it looks exactly how you want. Videos you upload appear in your Videos & clips section. Keep everything appropriate — see our Community Guidelines.

Your public link and CV

Every profile has a public link you can share with teachers, professors, coaches, employers and admissions teams. You can also download your entire profile as a formatted PDF CV from your profile page — ready to attach to job and program applications.

Scholarship campaigns

Students can create a crowdfunding campaign for a microscholarship. Campaigns currently accept pledges only — no real payments are collected yet. When payments launch, donors pay by card or PayPal, funds are taken immediately, ScholarOut keeps a 3% service fee, and the rest is paid directly to the student's school toward their tuition invoice. Goals can be between $100 and $10,000.

• Forgot your password? Use the reset link on the sign-in page.
• You can delete your profile and all its data at any time from the Delete profile section on your own profile page. This is permanent.
• Parents of under-16 students can ask us to remove their child's profile at any time through the Contact Us page.
